- This utility jacket is arranged by "MFSC" based on M-1941, a short-length jacket adopted by the U.S. Army from 1941 to 1942. The M-1941 was a summer field uniform, a successor to the blue denim coat. In this "MFSC" utility jacket, the outer fabric was changed from khaki herringbone twill to olive green back sateen, and inside pockets were added. Although based on a model from the Great War period, this jacket is elaborately made with beautifully curved lapels, flap pockets with a center pleat, cuffs with gauntlet, and waist belts. The long tucks in the back and underarm gussets connected by smooth curves allow for arm movement. The 13-star tack buttons and adjustable buckle typical of the U.S. Army are used.
