- This Type DECK A-2 jacket is reproduced by "Buzz Rickson's", based on vintage. The A-2 deck jacket was adopted in the first half of the 1960s as a successor model of the N-1, a jacket for cold weather to protect deck crew working on the deck. While the standard color for the officially adopted A-2 deck jacket is olive drab, this jacket was made for civilian use and thus is a navy color unlike that for military use. Perhaps because many of the jackets and coats formally issued to the U.S. Navy have a navy color as a show of pride, this jacket too has the orthodox style of such accessories issued to the military.

This jacket is a faithful reproduction of the vintage jacket, and parts such as zipper are revived, based on the specifications at that time, so please handle the parts with care. In particular, the zipper may be damaged if it is forcibly raised or lowered. When pulling up the zipper, be sure to pull up the metal part of the zipper slowly and carefully. Please do not pull the leather string forcibly.
