- This Hawaiian shirt is a special order by HINOYA to Sun Surf, bringing back a popular pattern from Sun Surf's previous Hawaiian shirt lineup with a new NAVY color that has not been released before. The original was produced by "Royal Palm", a Miami-based company that had sales networks not only locally but also in California and Hawaii. As the late 1940s approached, the popularity of aloha shirts was reaching its peak. In Miami, Florida, a famous beach resort on the U.S. mainland, aloha shirts were very popular as golf wear and resort wear since that time, and many apparel brands entered the market and produced a wide variety of designs. This space-themed design is one of them. In the 1940s, the U.S. was on the verge of entering space as a national project, and the desire for space was heating up along with advances in aeronautical technology. At the same time, the development of missiles and rockets for military use was being promoted, and as if to cover up these developments, movies and TV dramas were actively produced on the theme of space romance. This was truly the advent of the "science fiction boom. It had a great impact on people's lives, and motifs symbolizing space, such as rockets and planets, were used in a variety of products.
