- Sun Surf has reproduced this Aloha shirt, based on vintage shirts. Sears Roebuck & Co. was founded in 1893 in Chicago, Illinois, on the U.S. mainland. The company operates the long-established Sears department store chain, and the original of this Aloha shirt was created by "HOALOHA," a brand launched specifically to sell Aloha shirts in Hawaii. The design features a creative, comical touch, depicted with colorful tropical fish and other marine creatures as the central motif. By the 1950s, the company had opened a store in Waikiki and achieved great success alongside its Hawaiian Aloha shirt brand.
