• Tailor Toyo has faithfully reproduced a mid-1950s Sukajan(Souvenir Jacket) recently acquired. Though the pattern is commonly known as the "Tiger Head," focusing solely on the tiger's face, this upward-gazing composition is exceptionally rare even among vintage pieces, distinct from typical works. The tiger stripes on the face are also distinctive, featuring a complex pattern. The black stripes are rendered like shadows, further emphasizing the embroidery's three-dimensional effect. This masterpiece features a tricolor color scheme—the blue and silver body is tightened with red ribs—with vivid embroidery as the accent.
  The reversible side features a Japanese map pattern. With no “JAPAN” text, so the Japanese map and place names are prominently embroidered on the orange body. The embroidery thread is deliberately chosen in a similar color to blend in with the pattern, making the blue of the sleeves and Mt. Fuji stand out. Furthermore, the chest design was usually made using the same embroidery mold at the time, so both sides feature the same pattern. However, if you look closely, the embroidery thread color of this Sukajan differs to match the body color on each side, another specification faithful to vintage pieces.

1. Fine horizontal lines and wrinkles on the acetate ground surface are the characteristics of this fabric.
   Tailor Toyo uses high-grade acetate to give it a vintage feel.
2. This product uses parts such as delicate fabrics and zippers to reproduce the texture of the time. Please handle with care as it is sensitive to friction and slippage.
3. Please avoid hand washing or using a washing machine or dryer as it may cause significant deterioration of the product such as shape loss, discoloration, fraying, and seam breakage. Please consult a dry cleaner specialty store for laundry.
