• This is a limited edition by Taylor Toyo to be released on New Year's Day 2025. This is a reproduction of the Snake & Skull pattern, one of the rarest and most valuable patterns in the world of vintage Sukajans (Souvenir Jacket), in relation to the Snake, the Japanese zodiac sign for the Year of the Skane. This pattern, depicting a menacing poisonous snake with its fangs peeling and a skull, is commonly known as the “Snake Skull”. Very few vintage pieces exist, and they are sold at unheard-of prices in the market. Among them, this snake skull with a rising dragon on the sleeve made in the mid-1950s is especially rare and a collector's favorite. Although there are some works with colorful embroidery threads among skull patterns, this work is made entirely with white-based light-colored threads and has a sophisticated monotone finish that stands out in contrast with the jet-black velveteen fabric. Another feature of this work is that the crossbones are longer than those of other skull patterns, and not only the design but even the needle stitches of the embroidery are reproduced based on precious vintage Sukajans.
  In contrast, the motif of the reversible side is a dragon-tiger duel. The magnificent scale of the design is unparalleled, with the dragon clamping down on the tiger with its long physique, and its face peeking out from behind Mt.Fuji. Furthermore, the red lightning bolt drawn between the two glaring at each other shows the appearance of a fierce battle. The embroidered eagle on the chest completes the three major motifs of the Sukajan: the eagle, tiger, and dragon, creating an extremely gorgeous combination on both sides.

1. Fine horizontal lines and wrinkles on the acetate ground surface are the characteristics of this fabric.
   Tailor Toyo uses high-grade acetate to give it a vintage feel.
2. This product uses parts such as delicate fabrics and zippers to reproduce the texture of the time. Please handle it with care as it is sensitive to friction and slippage.
3. Please avoid hand washing or using a washing machine or dryer as it may cause significant deterioration of the product such as shape loss, discoloration, fraying, and seam breakage. Please consult a dry cleaner specialty store for laundry.
