- サンサーフが監修したヴィンテージ・アロハシャツの専門書『マスターブック・オブ・ハワイアンシャツ』に掲載され、西暦2000年に一度、このスペシャル・エディションで復刻したことがあるスペースシップの絵柄。常に再復刻のリクエストが絶えないこの作品には空想や想像で描かれた様々なスペース・デザインが描かれ、ブリキの玩具のような宇宙船や人工衛星、宇宙ステーションなどのモチーフから当時のノスタルジーが漂うコレクタブルな一着となっている。1958年にアメリカ初の人工衛星エクスプローラー1号が打ち上げに成功し、全米中が宇宙での生活を夢見て宇宙開発の時代が幕が開けた。まさしくその時代を反映した本作を手掛けたのは「クオナカカイ」。1900年代初頭に創業した老舗メーカー、ナショナル・シャツ・ショップス社が1948年に立ち上げたオリジナルブランドで、同社は全米で店舗を展開し、レーヨンシャツだけでなくフランネルのプリントシャツやジャケットなど、多岐にわたるアイテムを取り扱っていた。
