"ROARING TIGER × LANDSCAPE"

• This exclusive Sukajan (Souvenir Jacket) was specially ordered to Tailor Toyo as Hinoya's 75th anniversary model. The tiger pattern on the main side is the first time reproduction for Tailor Toyo. The reversible side combines a landscape pattern, which was particularly popular among Tailor Toyo's past reproductions, making this a special Sukajan.
  This Sukajan is the reproduction of a mid-1950s work depicting a roaring tiger. It is one of the rarest tiger patterns among the many vintage Sukajan patterns, depicting a moment when a tiger runs across a rocky terrain and tries to pounce on its prey. The tiger's body and stripes called tiger spots, are realistically expressed by adding brown-colored threads to yellow and black. The embroidery is overall large because of the absence of the word JAPAN on the back, resulting in a powerful composition. It also features ribs in a flashy color scheme that looks great against the black velveteen.
  The reversible side is a landscape pattern depicting a beautiful Japanese landscape. Shrines and temples surrounded by colorful trees with Mt. Fuji in the background are gorgeously depicted using multi-colored embroidery threads. Like the other side, it also features colorful ribs that accentuate the overall design and three lines on the sleeve, which is rare even for vintage Sukajan. The original was custom-ordered by a soldier stationed at Misawa Air Base at the time to commemorate Japan's joining the United Nations, and the flags of Japan, the United States, and the UN are embroidered on the upper back.

3. Please avoid hand washing or using a washing machine or dryer as it may cause significant deterioration of the product such as shape loss, discoloration, fraying, and seam breakage. Please consult a dry cleaner specialty store for laundry.
