- The Matson Line began full-scale service between San Francisco and Honolulu in the 1930s. The cover for the menu used in the restaurant of the luxury cruise ship was used as the motif. The cover was designed by Eugene Savage, a designer active at the time. The original of this Aloha shirt was sketched and printed in Kyoto based on his work and is one of the patterns that symbolize the high level of skill of Japanese craftsmen. The design, printing technique, and all other aspects of this work make it an extremely rare and valuable piece, and it is highly supported by collectors. "Sun Surf" has faithfully reproduced this precious Aloha shirt based on the vintage.

【PALI HAWAIIAN STYLE】
An indispensable keyword in the history of the Aloha shirts is “fabric made in Japan. Isamu Takabuki was directly involved in its production and established distribution routes from Japan to Hawaii and the mainland United States. He used his dual citizenship to travel back and forth between Hawaii and Japan. Immediately after the war, he bought an old school building in Kyoto, renovated it, and established Aloha Trading, a fabric printing factory. He then established Victory Import, a trading company in Hawaii, and Pacific Trading (Taiheiyo Boueki), its subsidiary in Osaka, to export printed fabrics from Japan to Hawaii. One of the brands Victory Import was developing at that time was "PALI HAWAIIAN STYLE". - Brand: PALI HAWAIIAN STYLE
