- This SILVER RING is reproduced by "Buzz Rickson's." The uniforms and equipment worn by soldiers were issued by the military, but soldiers had to purchase their own accessories—items that allowed them to express their individuality and dress up. Since they were going to wear them anyway, soldiers—who took great pride in their service—felt a strong attachment to items modeled after the emblems of their respective branches of the military or units. This gave rise to military-themed silver accessories, and due to enthusiastic demand from soldiers, they became so popular that they were even sold at base stores and souvenir shops at their garrison locations.
