15.5oz DENIM TYPE 1 JACKET
- The design follows the vintage jacket's signature single chest pocket and cinch back, while updating the silhouette for a contemporary style. Pockets have been added at the waist for enhanced practicality. Inspired by tailored jackets, the pattern design is based on the structure of the human body. The denim fabric is woven with a blend of yarns: 65% Texas cotton, renowned for its strength and vibrant fade, and 35% Zimbabwe cotton, offering a balanced combination of softness and durability. Dyeing utilizes 100% pure indigo and employs traditional rope-dyeing techniques. A specially modified 1950s "Sakamoto-style shuttle loom" is used for firmly weaving the thick yarns. The warp yarns are woven with extremely low tension, akin to hand-weaving, achieving an uneven texture that influences the denim aging process. The finished fabric undergoes only shrink-resistant treatment and is not intentionally anti-skew and singed processed to highlight its inherent characteristics. Starting to wear it in its rigid (unwashed) state allows you to enjoy its bold fading.
