• This Type A-2 leather jacket with the real vintage name, "Werber Sportswear Co.", is reproduced by "Buzz Rickson's", based on vintage jackets. The A-2 jacket pattern, created in 1930, was produced by designated contractors through 39 production lots until 1943. Among these, Werber Sportswear Company, a historic manufacturer that supplied A-2 jackets to the U.S. military from 1933, produced four lots until 1941. This A-2 is from the third production lot made in 1939. Unlike the wartime production A-2s, this model features grommet zippers, a type prevalent in the 1930s with eyelets fastening the main body and zipper ends. Additionally, the waist rib knit seams exhibit topstitching similar to that found on Navy G-1 jackets, a characteristic of Werber Sportswear's first three production lots. The leather used for this A-2 is horsehide, meticulously tanned with tannin extracted from bark and hand-rubbed with wax by craftsmen. Over time, the deep wrinkles from wear create an exquisite contrast on the surface, dramatically transforming the A-2 into a second skin far beyond its new appearance.

※This jacket is a faithful reproduction of the vintage jacket, and parts such as zipper are revived based on the specifications at that time, so please handle the parts with care. In particular, the zipper may be damaged if it is forcibly raised or lowered. When pulling up the zipper, be sure to pull up the metal part of the zipper slowly and carefully. Please do not pull the leather string forcibly.
