- Based on the "Coal Mine Jeans," which are inspired by jeans likely worn by coal miners in the late 1800s to early 1900s, HINOYA has custom-ordered these jeans. They feature a used finish with a worn-in look, resembling about six months of wear. The fabric is a 13.5oz denim meticulously woven on a shuttle loom, using long-staple Zimbabwe cotton for the warp and natural brown cotton (before selective breeding) for the weft. The fit is a wide straight cut, featuring a slightly higher rise and moderate room from the thigh to the hem. Instead of the typical back yoke panel found on jeans, darts are placed vertically at both sides and horizontally at one point. This creates a relaxed, three-dimensional hip area. Featuring original iron tack buttons, punched rivets, a two-needle buckle, and narrow stitching, these jeans follow the aesthetic of the vintage jeans while incorporating original designs.
