"踊り(DANCE)"
- 北斎が江戸後期の狂歌師・浅草庵市人（あさくさあんいちんど）率いる浅草側という狂歌師のグループと共に制作した狂歌摺物。摺物（すりもの）とは、市販の浮世絵と異なり俳諧や狂歌の仲間内で配布・交換するために特注された版画である。限られた人々の間でしか流通していないことから、 希少かつ贅沢な作品として珍重された。 本図では、柱絵判と呼ばれる縦長の画面を活かし、盆踊りに興じる人々が重なり合う構図の中で、 表情や所作、衣装や文様を生き生きと描き出している。また、七人の男女はそれぞれ七福神（大黒天・ 恵比寿・福禄寿・ 毘沙門天・布袋・弁財天・吉祥天）に見立てて描かれていると考えられており、吉祥性に富んだ非常に縁起の良い図柄となっている。
