Late 1950s Style Blue Denim Okinawa Jumper
"CHIBANA ARCHER'S"
- Tailor Toyo has reconstructed a souvenir jacket custom-ordered by soldiers of the U.S. Army Ammunition Unit stationed in Okinawa during the late 1950s (1958-60). Commonly known as the "Okinawa Jumper." The unit formed an archery club named the "CHIBANA ARCHER'S" and held tournaments within the base. The embroidery motifs feature the unit's squadron insignia, the club's character, and a map of Okinawa. The jacket is made of 8.5-ounce blue denim, and based on the vintage jacket, it is reproduced in deadstock condition without fading.

The embroidered sections are reconstructed using traditional embroidery techniques, so the embroidery is loose and delicate. Please take great care to avoid snagging. Please avoid hand washing, machine washing, or tumble drying, as these may cause distortion, color fading, seam breakage, or shrinkage.
