"SKULL" (AGING MODEL)
- Tailor Toyo has reproduced the Vietnam jacket, which was custom-ordered by U.S. soldiers in the late 1960s, based on a vintage jacket. It belonged to the 39th Air Support Unit of the U.S. Marine Corps stationed in Quang Tri, Vietnam, and the distinctive skull with a straw hat was based on the unit's insignia, known as the Squadron Patch. In addition, this aging model reproduces fabrics and embroidery threads whose colors have faded with age. The rayon-blend cotton twill has been treated to give it a supple texture and drape, allowing the wearer to enjoy a vintage look and feel from when it is new.
