• "Sun Surf" has reproduced the Aloha shirt with a real name tag (MUSA-SHIYA the SHIRTMAKER) based on a vintage Aloha shirt. This cool Aloha shirt features hula girls, the Diamond Head, and Hawaii's paradise symbols such as the Aloha Tower and pineapples expressed in a simple, monochromatic design. The shirt conveys the feelings of those who came to Hawaii as immigrants to live in Hawaii while thinking of their homeland of Japan. The way the design is depicted, the print, and the details of the shirt indicate that it was produced in the earliest days. The design ideas and details were worked out in Hawaii, and the final sketches, style making, and printing were entrusted to Japanese craftsmen. The design was drawn based on photographs, magazines, and other materials sent from Hawaii for the production of the work.
• 【MUSA-SHIYA THE SHIRTMAKER】
  The company that created the original work was Musashiya Shouten, the store of Miyamoto Kouichirou, who had taken over the tailoring business in Hawaii. Its Japanese name was Musashiya Gofuku-Ten. The shop published advertisements not only in tourist guides of the time, but also in major local newspapers such as the Honolulu Star-Bulletin, and tourists from the U.S. mainland and Hollywood actors began ordering shirts and robes tailored by "Miyamoto". The strange impact of the funny English with incorrect grammar, and the illustration of a smiling Japanese man wearing Geta (Japanese clogs) were well received, and the brand became indispensable in tracing the roots of the Aloha shirts.
