"GAUGUIN WOODCUT MYSTIC"
Kamehameha Garment Company was founded in Honolulu in 1936. The "Gauguin Woodcut" is considered one of the most legendary pieces of the "KAMEHAMEHA" brand that the company developed.
The shirt was designed by John Meigs, a famous textile designer at the text-indent: NaNem;
Among his designs, in addition to this pattern, several patterns have been found with the same motif, but with detailed changes in composition. Many of these designs were changed over the years as they were continuously sold.
Regarding even for this pattern, there are various theories, "Could it be a mistake to cut the position for the pattern when the fabric was cut?", or perhaps John Meigs produced another version with a different main motif?; however, there is no proof, and the whole thing remains a mystery.
