- This denim jacket is based on the assumption that the “TYPE-II” (a.k.a. 2nd), made in 1953 during the transitional period when denim jackets became casual wear from work clothes, was custom-painted by an owner of the past. The motif is based on a cartoon that was published in the employee magazine of the Frisco Railroad from 1925 to 1929, created by John L. Godsey. His unique and easy-to-read cartoons and caricatures were well received at the time. The paintings are time-consuming and hand-drawn, and the back is decorated with the Sugar Cane logo.
