• This work is based on a vintage Sukajan from the late 1940's. "Tailor Toyo" acquired the original Sukajan (Souvenir Jacket) of the work in recent years after falling in love with its high degree of perfection in terms of color scheme and embroidery, and it was also displayed at the "Sukajan Exhibition" held at the Yokosuka Museum of Art at the end of last year, and then has been finally reproduced for the first time this season (2023).
  The main side features a Japan map pattern with a dynamic composition of a dragon surrounding Japan. What is noteworthy is the color scheme of the fabric. In ordinary Sukajans, it is common to match the color of the body with the color of the lines on the sleeve, but in this work, the blue lines are applied to the green body. In addition, using the wine sleeves and embroidering with colorful threads on the body of three deep shades of color stands out the power of the pattern.
  The reversible side also features a roaring tiger pattern based on the vintage Sukajan. Looking closely, the tiger's body is striped in two colors, black and wine, on a gold base, to match with the wine and gold body fabric. Furthermore, the red ribs, which have faded with age, have been perfectly reproduced based on vintage Sukajan.
  The sense of color scheme and the beauty of the embroidery by skilled craftsmen are impeccable on both sides, making this a perfect piece that bears the name of "Kosho", the origin of the Sukajan.

1. Fine horizontal lines and wrinkles on the acetate ground surface are the characteristics of this fabric.
   Tailor Toyo uses high-grade acetate to give it a vintage feel.
2. This product uses parts such as delicate fabrics and zippers to reproduce the texture of the time. Please handle it with care as it is sensitive to friction and slippage.
3. Please avoid hand washing or using a washing machine or dryer as it may cause significant deterioration of the product such as shape loss, discoloration, fraying, and seam breakage. Please consult a dry cleaner specialty store for laundry.
