"OCCULTIC BEAUTY" by Noriyoshi Ohrai
- Mu magazine was born in 1979. The magazine deals with occult and supernatural phenomena, and Mr. Ohrai was in charge of the covers of the first four issues of the magazine. The motif of this shirt is from the cover of the first issue of Mu. The main motif is a gallant female warrior carrying a sword, combined with the motifs of ruins of ancient civilizations such as pyramids and sphinxes, and spaceships, to capture the imagination of those who ponder unresolved mysteries. His world, in which he depicts science fiction-like subjects with unrivaled original imagination, leaves a strong impact on the memory. This world is expressed on the canvas of an Aloha shirt, making it a piece of clothing that fascinates not only the viewer but also the wearer.

【Noriyoshi Ohrai】
Born in Akashi City, Hyogo Prefecture in 1935. After graduating from high school, he entered Tokyo University of the Arts and began his career as an illustrator in 1962. In the 1970s, he dominated bookstores with his characteristic dense style of illustrations related to science fiction. In 1980, George Lucas appreciated the image of "Star Wars" that Noriyoshi Ohrai drew for a science fiction magazine and officially asked him to illustrate the international version of the poster. The poster for "Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back" was highly acclaimed overseas, and his name became known not only in Japan but also throughout the world. - Artist: Noriyoshi Ohrai
