"WHITE TIGER x JAPAN MAP"

• Both special editions for this season (2026 S/S) are based on pieces from the early days of the "Sukajan (Souvenir Jacket)," created in the late 1940s. One is a faithful reproduction model that recreates the vintage embroidery and color scheme on both sides; the other is an original model featuring Taylor Toyo’s unique arrangements added to a vintage design.
  This is the model featuring Taylor Toyo’s unique arrangement. The main side features a design of a roaring white tiger on a solid black body. While the vintage original had a colorful color scheme, this version has been finished in monochrome. The embroidery uses white thread as the base, but the direction of the stitches varies in certain areas to depict the tiger’s muscular physique. Additionally, gray and black threads are used in parts to emphasize the three-dimensional effect. At first glance, the bamboo leaves and rock surface at the bottom appear to be the same color as the tiger, but in fact, each has a different shade, and this Sukajan features a luxurious embroidery with a total of seven different colors of thread.
  In contrast, the reversible side features a Japanese map design. Inspired by the charming, faded hues of vintage Sukajan, the body is a purple-gray, with a map of Japan and a dragon embroidered entirely in black. Although the vintage jacket was multicolored, the three-dimensional effect of the "Yokoburi embroidery(Free motion embroidery)" ensures that the design retains its powerful impact even in a single color, and the "reversed color scheme"—where the black of the sleeves is darker than the gray body—adds an elegant touch.
  In the 1940s, Sukajan were produced using the same embroidery pattern but with different color schemes. This Sukajan is a special item that combines the charm of vintage embroidery with the appeal of an original color scheme.
• “KOSHO & CO.” SPECIAL EDITION
  The “Special Edition” collection is a superior version of Tailor Toyo Sukajan that is an absolute reproduction of vintage souvenir jackets originated in the early days of post WWII. The intricate artworks are depicted in details by the experienced craftsmen with the vintage embroidery machines. The 100% wool rib that is purposely knitted loose by the primitive knitting machine in the same manner the rib of vintage jackets was done. The zipper with two pullers meant for reversible jacket is duplicated by using the 50-year-old vintage fastener machines. The special jacket has a woven label of “Kosho & Co.” which is a predecessor company of Toyo Enterprise, all the details of the day built in.

   Tailor Toyo uses high-grade acetate to give it a vintage feel.

3. Please avoid hand washing or using a washing machine or dryer as it may cause significant deterioration of the product such as shape loss, discoloration, fraying, and seam breakage. Please consult a dry cleaner specialty store for laundry.
