"DIVER"
- This work is a back panel pattern that uses the entire back of the garment as a canvas, known as one of ARTVOGUE of California's signature designs. It depicts a diver fishing in the coral reef sea with a unique touch. The material is a hopsack fabric made of an uneven slub yarn blended with rayon and cotton and roughly woven. "Sun Surf" faithfully reproduces the powerful look of the vintage fabric by analyzing it. The "made-in-California brand" work with the same pattern and material has also been found. This indicates that the fabric was purchased from Kohama, a major material manufacturer that developed the brand, making this a valuable piece that proves its historical flow.

【ARTVOGUE】
"ARTVOGUE," introduced in the late 1940s, produced many back-panel patterns and established it as one of the design patterns. The brand also offered Aloha shirts with oriental designs such as tiger patterns, bowling shirts, and other items that gained a large number of customers. In addition to this pattern, the brand's textile design was created by Wolfgang Wolff, a Post-Impressionist painter like Paul Gauguin. Born in the border region between France and Germany, he moved to Tahiti in 1934 and created many Polynesian-themed works. - Brand: ARTVOGUE
