- タイプB-10は革製フライトジャケットB-6の代替えとして1943年7月に米陸軍航空隊が採用した中温域（+10℃から-10℃）用の布製フライトジャケットである。第二次大戦中、急激な革不足に悩まされた米軍は縫製面と生産性を見直し、大量生産可能なコットンツイルを使用したフライトジャケットを開発したのである。ライニングにはアルパカモヘアウールパイルを使用しておりシープスキンに比べてかさばらず、軽量で保温性が高いという利点があった。外観は米陸軍と米海軍の共通使用目的でAN6552やAN-J-3Aといった“AN”シリーズやG-1に酷似しているが、陸軍航空隊では両軍共用の“AN”シリーズを本格的に採用しなかったため、この型を中温域用の新型布製ジャケット、B-10に採用したのであった。このB-10は、B-15とB-15A、そしてL-2Aのコントラクターを務めたスーペリアトグス社が製作したもので、オリーブカラーに赤いリブニットのコントラストが効いたワイルドな雰囲気を持つ一着である。

This jacket is a faithful reproduction of the vintage jacket based on the specs at that time, so please handle the parts with care. In particular, the zipper may be damaged if it is forcibly raised or lowered. When pulling up the zipper, be sure to pull up the metal part of the zipper slowly and carefully. Please do not pull the string forcibly.
