- アリゾナ州ツーソン国際空港に展開した第152迎撃戦闘飛行隊は、1958年から西部要所の防空任務を担っていた精鋭部隊である。米空軍における飛行隊ナンバーの内、100番台は予備役、つまり州兵航空隊(Air National Guard)である。州兵航空隊は民間空港を間借りしている場合が多く、パッチデザインも地元に関係したモチーフの物が多いのが特徴となっている。第162迎撃戦闘航空団のパッチにはアリゾナ州らしくグランドキャニオンのモニュメントバレーやサボテンのデザインが配されており、空軍パッチの文化が開花した1950年代を象徴するかのような1枚となっている。
