"JAPAN MAP × GOLD DRAGON"
- This Sukajan (Souvenir Jacket) features a Japan Map pattern that condenses beautiful Japanese scenery, such as Mount Fuji, pagodas, and torii gates. Tailor Toyo has reproduced a vintage jacket from the early 1950s and is characterized by its luxurious design, with the entire back covered in embroidery and very few blank areas. The contrasting red ribs, which are not related to the green and off-white body, are also unique to Sukajan of this era.
The reversible side features a golden dragon embroidery like a Japanese-style painting composition that makes good use of blank space, contrasting with the main side. The dragon and tiger on the chest are the same as on the main side. This is because vintage sukajan was made using the same “embroidery plate” on both sides, and we can see the dedication of the embroidery craftsmen of the time, who changed the color tone to match the fabric color, even for the same design. - Main, Lining: 100％ Acetate
