• This special edition reproduces carefully selected Sukajan (Souvenir Jacket) from the Taylor Toyo collection with attention to detail and is finished to be comparable to vintage items. "The Year of the Dragon" Collection is a reproduction of the excellent dragon-patterned Sukajan associated with the dragon, the Japanese zodiac sign for 2024. For its last special edition, Taylor Toyo has carefully selected embroideries among its collection of vintage dragon-patterned Sukajans and has created an extremely luxurious Sukajan with a “double A-side” design by incorporating two A sides (the main side) into a single jacket.
  The front side features a silvery dragon suddenly appearing out of the waves and a fiery fire pillar embroidered on a black single-color body reminiscent of midnight. The realistic dragon, faithfully depicted in detailed embroidery based on a rough sketch of the design, gives a sense of divinity and majesty. The work has an artistic appeal that would have been created by a skilled embroiderer who had long been involved in kimono embroidery at the time.
  The reversible side features twin dragons ascending to the heavens while intertwining with each other. While the design is complex with two dragons crossing each other, it is beautifully depicted by using different needle stitches and colored threads for each part. While the front side is monotone-based, this side has a green and gold body, a color scheme that is a classic of Sukajan. The vintage-inspired dull green ribs give it an even more old-fashioned look.

3. Please avoid hand washing or using a washing machine or dryer as it may cause significant deterioration of the product such as shape loss, discoloration, fraying, and seam breakage. Please consult a dry cleaner specialty store for laundry.
