"VIETNAM MAP"
- Nha Trang, a city that served as a U.S. military port during the Vietnam War. Tailor Toyo has reproduced the custom-ordered Vietnam jacket worn by the soldier stationed there from 1966 to 1967. While it features the classic “Vietnam jacket” design—with a tiger and the Kanji of “福(fortune)” on the chest and a map of Vietnam on the back—it is distinguished by a unique embroidery layout that divides a message expressing the frustration of war between the top and bottom of the map. Since most vintage “Vietnam jackets” found today are black-based, the red body reproduced this time is rare and highly valued by collectors.
