U.S. ARMY BROWN DENIM PULLOVER JACKET
- "Buzz Rickson's" has reproduced working trousers made of brown denim. The U.S. Army adopted denim work jackets and trousers from World War I to World War II. The blue denim version, adopted in 1919, is known to exist because it is sometimes seen in the vintage market, but the brown denim version was made before the blue denim version, so the number of vintage pairs is extremely small, and its existence is not well known. This special fabric was made with brown natural indigo for the warp and a heather yarn mixed with unbleached and black yarn for the weft, which was at that time intended to make dirt and dust less noticeable.
