- This Aloha shirt has been reproduced by Sun Surf based on the vintage Aloha shirt. "TOWN CRAFT" was created in the late 1920s as a private brand of J.C. Penney, a long-established department store that operated mainly in the continental United States. The original of this Aloha shirt by the brand depicts and combines items related to the ship's voyages. A number of other Aloha shirts produced with similar motifs have been found, indicating their popularity at the time. In addition to Hawaii, stores in resort areas such as Florida and California had a high percentage of nautical-related patterns.
