Mid 1960s Style Satin Vietnam Jacket
"VIET-NAM MAP"
- Tailor Toyo has reproduced the Vietnam Jacket made of sateen fabric, which is very rare even in the vintage world. It is made of a supple sateen fabric that is different from that of a Sukajan(Souvenir Jacket), and the contrast between the shiny fabric and the matte embroidery threads is beautiful. The original jacket was brought back to the U.S. by U.S. soldiers stationed in Vietnam in the mid-1960s, and has an orthodox design with a tiger on the right chest, Kanji "Fuku (fortune)" on the left chest, dragons on both sleeves, and a map of Vietnam on the back. The cuffs have buttons that resemble old coins, like the vintage jacket.
