1st Type Denim Jacket Long
- In 1953, a spinning machine called "Ishikawa-dai" was manufactured. Ishikawa-dai is said to be the oldest spinning machine currently in operation in Japan. Compared to the latest spinning machines, the Ishikawadai spins at about one-third the speed. Although production efficiency is low, it puts less stress on the cotton, resulting in a natural texture reminiscent of hand-spun yarn. This denim is made of 6-count yarn spun on the Ishikawa-dai machine and woven with a shuttle from the 1950s. The denim is the standard weight, about 15 oz., but the whole fabric has a unique, uneven texture that seems to wave. Indigo uses a green cast similar to Oni Secret Denim. The strong greenish-blue hue, combined with the fabric texture, evokes deadstock denim. The design is based on the vintage masterpiece 1st-type denim jacket, but this time it's a long version with a slightly longer length than previous jackets. It's only about 2-3cm longer, but the overall feel is completely different. It pairs well not only with T-shirts and other knitwear, but also with shirts worn untucked.
