- The 1930s and 1940s were the era when BIG YANK truly came into its own, as the brand perfected its unique, signature details. This model is a reproduction of the ultimate chambray shirt, incorporating every detail from the patent applications of that era: “STORM CUFFS,” “ELBOW ACTION SLEEVES,” “CONVENIENT POCKET,” and “STRAIN-PROOF YOKE.” It revisits vintage patterns from the ground up, reconstructing the balance between a modern fit and the original design. The unique design—featuring generous room in the shoulders and neckline, a longer front panel, and a shorter back—achieves both ease of movement during work and a beautiful silhouette. Made of selvedge chambray woven with rope-dyed indigo yarn, which recreates the texture of the 1940s. The more you wear it, the more it develops a deep, vintage-like texture.
