• Both special editions for this season (2026 S/S) are based on pieces from the early days of the "Sukajan (Souvenir Jacket)," created in the late 1940s. One is a faithful reproduction model that recreates the vintage embroidery and color scheme on both sides; the other is an original model featuring Taylor Toyo’s unique arrangements added to a vintage design.
  This is a full reproduction based on the vintage Sukajan, featuring a pattern on the main side, with an eagle and a dragon glaring at each other against a background of Mount Fuji. Since the word "Japan" is absent on the upper back, each motif is depicted larger than usual. By meticulously adjusting the direction of the stitches, the design intricately depicts the three-dimensionality of the eagle’s wide-spread wings and the sense of depth in the approaching dragon’s body. In addition, black thread is used in specific areas—such as the eagle’s beak and talons, and the dragon’s mouth—to emphasize the design’s dynamism. The embroidery stands out beautifully against the extremely rare color scheme of the body among vintage Sujakan, the orange/yellow.
  In contrast, the reversible side features a Japanese map design. Featuring the composition of the eagle and dragon glaring at each other across a map of Japan, on the vivid blue sateen fabric reminiscent of the sea. Among the many vintage Sukajan designs, this work features an exceptionally large Japanese map, and due to limited space at the top, the word "Japan" is positioned not in the center but next to Hokkaido. Furthermore, the number of place names is extremely high, with major cities and locations associated with the U.S. military depicted densely in the Japanese map. This luxuriously embroidered Japan map design is truly one-of-a-kind, making it a Sukajan worthy of the name "KOSHO Special Edition."
• “KOSHO & CO.” SPECIAL EDITION
  The “Special Edition” collection is a superior version of Tailor Toyo Sukajan that is an absolute reproduction of vintage souvenir jackets originated in the early days of post WWII. The intricate artworks are depicted in details by the experienced craftsmen with the vintage embroidery machines. The 100% wool rib that is purposely knitted loose by the primitive knitting machine in the same manner the rib of vintage jackets was done. The zipper with two pullers meant for reversible jacket is duplicated by using the 50-year-old vintage fastener machines. The special jacket has a woven label of “Kosho & Co.” which is a predecessor company of Toyo Enterprise, all the details of the day built in.

   Tailor Toyo uses high-grade acetate to give it a vintage feel.

3. Please avoid hand washing or using a washing machine or dryer as it may cause significant deterioration of the product such as shape loss, discoloration, fraying, and seam breakage. Please consult a dry cleaner specialty store for laundry.
