- This 13oz denim jacket is made of yarn spun on the Ishikawadai spinning machine. Ishikawa-dai is said to be the oldest spinning machine in Japan. Compared to the latest spinning machines, the speed of spinning by Ishikawadai is about 1/3. Although the production efficiency is low, the stress on the cotton is low, and the texture is natural, just like hand spinning. After sewing, the denim is topped with a beige color to express the rugged and rough denim of the time and the dull, oxidized indigo blue look. The design is based on the World War II model. The awkward sewing and simplified details characteristic of the era when supplies were controlled are reproduced.
