- This brown denim hat is reproduced by "Buzz Rickson's" based on vintage hats. The denim hat developed by the US Army in 1934 had a modified version with the brim cut off to make it cap-shaped. Since soldiers modified them personally, it is very rare to find actual ones. The inner seams are reinforced with herringbone tape. The blue denim version adopted in 1919 is sometimes found in the vintage market, and its existence is known, but the brown denim version is extremely rare since it was produced before the blue denim version, and its existence is not widely known. The fabric, using brown natural indigo for the warp yarn and a blend of unbleached and black yarn for the weft yarn, is special, and it was designed to minimize the visibility of dirt, such as dust.
