"POLAR BEAR x ALASKA MAP"

• Tailor Toyo has reproduced the Alaska-motif Sukajan(Souvenir Jacket), known as "ALASUKAJAN". While the lightning bolt and polar bear pattern is famous, this drift ice and polar bear design is also reproduced based on an actual vintage jacket. We can say this is a super rare piece, even among the already rare Alaska motif Sukajan. Depicted alongside them is the aurora that can only be seen in the frigid north. The sleeves also have the popular dog sled embroidery.
  The reversible side features an Alaska map pattern. The blue "ALASKA" lettering is a color combination uniquely suited to the orange body. The original was commissioned by the US military in the late 1950s and produced by "Kōshō". It was sold in PX stores within US military bases in Alaska. At the time, craftsmen designed the patterns based on photographs and postcards of Alaska.

   Tailor Toyo uses high-grade acetate to give it a vintage feel.
2. This product uses parts such as delicate fabrics and zippers to reproduce the texture of the time. Please handle it with care as it is sensitive to friction and slippage.
3. Please avoid hand washing or using a washing machine or dryer as it may cause significant deterioration of the product such as shape loss, discoloration, fraying, and seam breakage. Please consult a dry cleaner specialty store for laundry.
