- SCSC（SUGAR CANE Super“ Denim” Collectibles）の第三弾。1975年にスタートしたシュガーケーンは、50周年を機にブランドの原点に立ち返り、デニムワークウエア誕生の地であるアメリカを生産拠点として新たな「Made in U.S.A.」の大戦モデルをリリースする。デニム生地は日本で生産しており、1943年モデルをベースに米綿を使って当時の紡績技術が未熟で不均一なムラ感の強い荒々しい生地を再現。縫製はシュガーケーンのアメリカ工場で行い、今回はヴィンテージの一個体を完全再現するのではなく、型紙やパーツ、ステッチワークなどのディテールについて、これまでに確認してきたさまざまな大戦期の個体の特徴を組み合わせ、オリジナルの要素も加えた1940’sスペシャルモデルに仕上げた。なかでも特筆すべきはポケットの袋地。1940年代の大戦期にROUGH WEAR社が民間用レーベル「ROUGH-IN」で製作したヴィンテージジャケットのツイルチェック裏地を再現し、ネルポケットとして使用している。

シュガーケーンの福富雄一が中心となり、デニムのスペシャリストを集結させて始動したレーベル。略称「SCSC」。1st & 2ndコレクションでは、いまや入手不可能といえるデッドストックのスーパーヴィンテージをもとに、その貴重な個体が持つ「個性」を再現。当時の特徴的な専用パーツはもとより、大戦期に作られた4種類に大別されるデニム生地すべてを現代に甦らせた。今回の3rdコレクションでは、ブランド創業50周年を機に、シュガーケーンのアメリカ工場で今や希少な「Made in U.S.A.」のジーンズを企画。大戦期に見られるヴィンテージ個体の魅力的なディテールを組み合わせ、オリジナルの要素も加えたスペシャルモデルに仕上げている。 - Main Fabric: 13.5oz.
