- 米軍は1960年代中頃になると、敵軍から発見され難い迷彩効果を狙ったリーフパターン柄のユニフォームに採用した。通称『ERDL』と呼ばれるそのカモフラージュ柄は、米軍の『Engineer Research and Development Laboratory』（技術研究試験所）が開発したため、その頭文字を取って略称される。このジャケットは米海兵隊の第3偵察大隊の隊員だったケロッグが、ベトナム戦争の頃に個人でオーダー製作したスペシャルな一着。背面には部隊を誇示する反面、戦争に対するやるせ無い思いが込められている。この部隊は第3海兵師団と太平洋海兵隊を支援する目的で1942年に編成され、現在も水陸両用で活動する歴史ある部隊である。
