- This Type B-15c(MOD.) with patches is reproduced by "Buzz Rickson's" based on vintage jackets. The 152nd Interceptor Fighter Squadron, based at Tucson International Airport in Arizona, was an elite unit responsible for air defense in key locations across the western United States from 1958. Among U.S. Air Force squadron numbers, those in the 100s refer to reserve units, namely the Air National Guard. Air National Guard units often operate from civilian airports, and their patch designs are characterized by motifs related to the local area. The patch of the 162nd Interceptor Fighter Wing features designs of Monument Valley in the Grand Canyon and cacti, reflecting its Arizona location. It is a patch that seems to symbolize the 1950s, when the culture of Air Force patches flourished.
