"MISS BARBARA"
- "Buzz Rickson's" has faithfully reproduced the Type A-2 leather jacket with a patch and paints. Soldiers discovered that the back of the A-2 jacket made an excellent canvas. Enthusiastic, artistically inclined soldiers painted images of their sweethearts or pin-up girls, serving as both morale boosters and protective muses in the battlefield. Decorating their jackets with sexy images of their loved ones provided soldiers with the simple joy of feeling constantly accompanied, lifting spirits, and easing the tension of facing death. The chest patch belongs to the 11th Bombardment Group, which was formed in October 1933 as the 11th Observation Group and redesignated in 1938 as the 11th Bombardment Group, although it remained inactive until February 1940. In May 1941, the unit received B-17 Flying Fortresses and was assigned to the 7th Air Force in 1942, conducting patrol missions in Hawaii.

This jacket is a faithful reproduction of the vintage jacket, and parts such as zipper are revived based on the specifications at that time, so please handle the parts with care. In particular, the zipper may be damaged if it is forcibly raised or lowered. When pulling up the zipper, be sure to pull up the metal part of the zipper slowly and carefully. Please do not pull the leather string forcibly.
