- This model is a faithful reconstruction of the iconic denim jacket that was produced in the early 1950s, commonly known as the “1st Type.” The classic details remain true to the original, including the distinctive flap pocket on the left chest, the T-back construction across the back, and the cinch-back belt at the waist. No modern interpretation has been added to the silhouette or materials, allowing the character of this historic model to be faithfully reproduced. With no modern interpretation added, this special 1st Type model faithfully captures the look and feel of the original, making it a piece that vintage enthusiasts will appreciate.
The sizing is based on vintage 1st Type models, with the body length and sleeve length kept consistent across all sizes, while only the chest width and shoulder width vary by size. This faithfully reproduces the distinctive sizing balance of the period, creating a classic, authentic silhouette.
For the fabric, an original denim was developed from the ground up, with particular attention paid to reproducing the texture and fading characteristics of denim from the era. The result is a jacket that can be fully enjoyed as it develops its own character over time.
100% cotton thread is used for the stitching, allowing the fabric and stitching to develop greater depth and character with continued wear, eventually taking on a one-of-a-kind appearance. - Material: Zimbabwe Cotton 12oz. Denim (100％ Cotton)
