N-1 HORSE SUEDE
- 米海軍が第二次大戦中、デッキクルー用に採用したN-1ジャケット。このジャケットはそのN-1の型をベースとしてホーススエードに置き換えたモデル。ジャケットに使用しているスエードは、厳選した厚みのある馬革をタンニンで鞣して下地を作った後、床面にヤスリを掛けて繊維を起毛させてスエードのベースを作り、その後、揮発し難いワックスを使用して革に浸透させた手間と時間を掛けた工程を経ている。着込むほどに擦れや摩擦によって浸透したワックスが作用し、褐色に焦げてヴィンテージのような趣のある経年変化や風合いを存分に堪能できるホーススエードを実現している。ライニングには滑りの良いレーヨンツイルを使用し、襟に使用しているのは海軍のプライドを表したG-1のゴートスキンである。
