"EAGLE & TIGER × ROARING TIGER"
- The main side features a mid-1950s pattern of an eagle and a tiger glaring at each other, which is rare among vintage Sukajan(Souvenir Jacket). Since there are no letters “Japan", each deformed motif is embroidered in a large size to play a leading role. The gradation of the eagle's wings and the tiger's stripes is precisely depicted using colorful threads. The dragon on the chest is delicately expressed in thin lines, taking advantage of the green color of the fabric.
The reversible side features a roaring tiger, which is a popular and classic motif of Sukajan. The muscular physique of the tiger is realistically depicted with narrow Yokoburi embroidery, which is a work that only a skilled craftsman with superior skills could have achieved. It also features a “reverse color scheme,” in which the color of the sleeves is darker than that of the body. The combination of pink and black is highly regarded in Fifties culture. - Main/Lining: 100％ Acetate
