ACETATE SUKA
"EAGLE × JAPAN MAP"

• The design of the main front side is centered on a map of Japan, with the Stars and Stripes in red and white stripes from the Pacific Ocean to the entire globe and stars on a blue background, and depicts an eagle, the symbol of the United States, above it. It is based on a vintage Sukajan (Souvenir Jacket) made in the late 1940s, and the original was custom-ordered by U.S. soldiers stationed in Japan in the immediate postwar period.
  The reversible side has a very rare Japan map pattern with weeping cherry blossoms surrounding a Japanese map. While there are many combinations of cherry blossoms and maps on vintage Sukajans, the weeping cherry blossom embroidery has never been found on any other Sukajan except this one. Since the names of the places marked on the jacket are concentrated in the west side of Japan, it is thought that the jacket was sold around U.S. military bases such as Shimonoseki and Kure.

1. Fine horizontal lines and wrinkles on the acetate ground surface are the characteristics of this fabric.
   Tailor Toyo uses high-grade acetate to give it a vintage feel.
2. This product uses parts such as delicate fabrics and zippers to reproduce the texture of the time. Please handle it with care as it is sensitive to friction and slippage.
3. Please avoid hand washing or using a washing machine or dryer as it may cause significant deterioration of the product such as shape loss, discoloration, fraying, and seam breakage. Please consult a dry cleaner specialty store for laundry.
