CAMOUFLAGE VERSION
- This camouflage version of the Type DECK A-2 jacket is reproduced by "Buzz Rickson's", based on vintage jackets. The Navy’s A-2 deck jacket, which succeeded the N-1 deck jacket, was issued in the early 1960s and remained in service for nearly 30 years, making it a long-lasting jacket. Initially, in the 1960s, its outer shell was made of heavy cotton back satin, but from the 1970s, it was improved to a lightweight, durable cotton-nylon blend fabric that dries quickly even when wet. Along with the fabric change, the construction was also revised for easier production: chest pocket flaps became straight, and sleeve cuff reinforcements were simplified. Deck A-2 jackets made with woodland camouflage fabric were produced in the 1980s. Although not very old, they are rare and fetch high prices on the vintage market.

This jacket is a faithful reproduction of the vintage jacket, and parts such as zipper are revived, based on the specifications at that time, so please handle the parts with care. In particular, the zipper may be damaged if it is forcibly raised or lowered. When pulling up the zipper, be sure to pull up the metal part of the zipper slowly and carefully. Please do not pull the leather string forcibly.
