Late 1960s Style Cotton Vietnam Jacket

- Tailor Toyo has reproduced a Vietnam Jacket brought back to America by a soldier stationed at the U.S. military base in the Vietnamese city of PLEIKU during the mid-1960s. The embroidery features a tiger on the right chest, the kanji character, “福” (Fortune) on the left chest, dragons on both sleeves, and a map of Vietnam on the back—the classic design of a Vietnam jacket. While many vintage Vietnam jackets have coarse embroidery, this work reproduces the dense, high-quality embroidery. The cuffs feature buttons resembling old coins, just like the vintage jackets.
