- While “heavy” and “tough” are becoming synonymous with the BARNS brand, this T-shirt is made with a deliberately thinner 20-count jersey fabric—thinner than usual—making it light and comfortable to wear even during Japan’s sweltering summers. Although it’s a thinner count than usual BARNS' body, the 20-count fabric is still classified as slightly thicker than what’s typically used for T-shirts. This original body focuses on being comfortable to wear even in the height of summer. This year(2026), using semi-combed yarn—a blend of long and short fibers—results in a T-shirt with a natural, rough texture and a crisp feel. The design features a speech bubble print that looks like a message from the wearer.
