- "WAREHOUSE" has reproduced one of the most beautiful designs of the Navy uniform, the WWI peacoat, which was manufactured in the early days. The U.S. Navy took a cue from the British in the late 1800s and came up with the original style peacoat. It has four pockets (the waist pockets were removed in the 1930s), a longer length with ten buttons (later the length was changed to be shorter with eight buttons), and anchor-designed buttons with 13 stars, etc., which make this peacoat clear distinctions from later models. This style was supplied from about 1910 until the 1930s and its elegant style was later replaced by a simpler.
