- This Hawaiian shirt is reproduced based on the vintage Hawaiian shirt made by "KAMEHAMEHA GARMENT" in the late 1940s. The motif is torch ginger, a perennial plant of the ginger family. It has a long history in Hawaii, and because the climate is conducive to its native growth, it blooms throughout the islands, delighting people. It had been seen as a design on aloha shirts since the early days, and it is one of the most representative plants of Hawaii that had long been adopted as a popular motif. This reproduction of the original Aloha shirt has an innovative design in that torch gingers are placed on the ground that is separated by borders and further switched by color. It is a work that conveys Kamehameha Garment's strong commitment to the pattern.
